Veolia Water Outsourcing Ltd, the Operations and Maintenance contractor for Northern Ireland Water’s £122m Project Omega scheme has achieved both BS EN ISO 9001 and BS EN ISO 14001 certification for ‘the provision of wastewater treatment services for Northern Ireland Water’ within a 6 month period.

“This is a tremendous achievement and I would like to warmly congratulate all the staff involved.” said Jim Conlon, General Manager, Veolia Water – Northern Ireland.  “This clearly demonstrates the very rigorous quality and environmental systems which have been established, building on Veolia’s business values of customer focused, responsibility, innovation, performance and teamwork," added Jim.

“The wastewater treatment services are the first part of the Omega Project to achieve accreditation for operation and roll out plans are already underway for the sludge disposal services.  We were particularly pleased that no non-conformances were raised during the auditing process which is a tribute to how well the system has been implemented,” said Jerome Dantin, Operations Manager, Veolia Water Outsourcing Ltd.
