Project Omega
Project Omega is Northern Ireland Water’s £122m PPP (Public & Private Partnership) Project which includes the upgrading and operation of a number of existing wastewater treatment facilities at Ballyrickard, Ballynacor, Bullays Hill, Seagoe Armagh and Richill. It also included construction of a new wastewater treatment facility for North Down Ards and the provision of a sludge disposal solution for Northern Ireland.
Project Omega aims to ensure the provision of wastewater and sludge disposal in compliance with EU Directives. The Project provides an increased wastewater treatment capacity for Northern Ireland to support growth and commercial and industrial development, while ensuring value for money, affordability and reduced time to compliance.
